Question 1

Is there a minimum job size?

Accepted Answer

No. Small jobs are the point of this service. If travel makes one tiny item uneconomic on its own we'll say so and suggest batching it with anything else on the list.

Question 2

What if the job needs a licensed trade?

Accepted Answer

We'll tell you before quoting. Electrical, plumbing, gas and structural work goes to someone licensed. We don't take work we shouldn't be doing, and we'd rather lose the job than do it badly.

Question 3

Do you design it, or do I need to know what I want?

Accepted Answer

Either. Plenty of people ring with a problem rather than a solution — the bins look terrible, the side gate doesn't shut, there's nowhere to put anything in the garage. We'll come out, look at it and suggest options. If you already know exactly what you want, even better.

Question 4

Can you match existing timber and finishes?

Accepted Answer

Usually. Standard profiles are easy, older profiles sometimes need machining or a close match, and some things aren't obtainable any more. We'll tell you which of those you're dealing with before you commit, along with what the compromise would look like.

Question 5

How long is the wait?

Accepted Answer

Depends on what's in front of it and whether materials need ordering. Ring us and we'll give you a real date rather than a vague one. If we can't do it in the timeframe you need, we'll say so.

Question 6

How do you price a Mulgoa acreage property?

Accepted Answer

On the actual property rather than a suburban rate. What drives it: how much of the block is maintained versus left natural, the length of the driveway and fencing, access for a machine and for green waste removal, and how many outbuildings are in scope. It's why we'd rather look at it than quote off an address.

Question 7

What do the older Mulgoa properties usually need?

Accepted Answer

There's a lot of long-held property here, and long-held property accumulates. Fencing and gates, outbuilding and shed repairs, driveways that have never been sealed, tank and pump surrounds, and gardens designed for someone with more time than they have now. We do the catch-up as one scoped job.

Question 8

Is bushfire and vegetation work part of what you do?

Accepted Answer

The physical side of it. Gutters and roof gullies cleared, leaf litter removed, vegetation cut back off structures, and the general fuel load around the buildings reduced. We're not certifiers and we don't issue assessments, but we'll do the work and photograph it so you've got a dated record.
